The Braveheart Scholarship Fund
Oneness Project established the Tom Braveheart Scholarship Fund in memory of
Tom Boyington, a devoted peace dancer who
participated widely in Oneness camps and activities in the 1990ís. In 2008 the
fund changed its name to The Braveheart Scholarship Fund as it merged
with a scholarship fund set up in honor of another dancer, Mark Kurey, after his
passing. The fund now honors all those that have participated in Dances of
Universal Peace and the mission remains the same.
The Fundís mission is to offer grant
money as heart gifts to persons with medical disabilities, to their caregivers
and to the recently bereaved to attend Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) events.
awards are based on the need of the applicant, the applicantís depth of
association with the Dances of Universal Peace, and the likelihood of the
project to fulfill the purpose of the Braveheart
